Update for 2-13-2014

Consider the bad weather outside, kudos to those who actually made it to the school today.  Anyway, here is the update:

EARTH SCIENCE 2:
• For those of you who has not done so, completed Lab. sheet #18 is due immediately.
• Quiz #1 on Weathering Processes & Soil Formation will be held tomorrow. 

 REGENT CHEMISTRY 2:
• A regular lesson has been conducted in class today.  For those who were absent, you will  be responsible for the lesson materials, which can be downloaded by click here.
• HW #4 (Postponed until tomorrow-Friday):  Worksheet - Law of Conservation of Mass & Mole Ratios.
• Lab. #17 will be held tomorrow in Rm. 311.

Here is the combined update for Tuesday and Wednesday

EARTH SCIENCE 2:
• Lab. #18 was conducted on Wednesday.  Completed lab. sheet #18 is due tomorrow.
• Quiz #1 on Weathering Processes & Soil Formation will be held tomorrow.  In case of weather related school closure, Quiz will be postponed until Friday.

 REGENT CHEMISTRY 2:
• Answer key to HW #3 Worksheet was reviewed in class today - no submission needed.
• Quiz #1 was completed on Tuesday.
• HW #4 (Due Tomorrow):  Worksheet - Law of Conservation of Mass & Mole Ratios.
• Lab. #17 will be held on Friday in Rm. 311.

Here is the update for this weekend:

EARTH SCIENCE 2:
• Completed lab. sheet #17 is PAST DUE.
• No HW this weekend.  Look over your notes, there will be a quiz next week (possibly on Tuesday/Wednesday).

 REGENT CHEMISTRY 2:
• Reminder:  Completed Lab. Report #16 is DUE on Monday.
• HW #3 (Due Monday):  Worksheet - Balancing Chemical Equations.  We will get more practice on Monday.  If you find this to be difficult, you can continue to work on it and turn it in on Tuesday with no penalty.

 REGENT CHEMISTRY 2:
• Reminder:  HW #2  Worksheet on Conversion between Mole & Mass is PAST DUE.
• HW #3 (Due Monday):  Worksheet - Balancing Chemical Equations.  We will get more practice on Monday.  If you find this to be difficult, you can continue to work on it and turn it in on Tuesday with no penalty.

Update for 2-04-2014

Welcome back to Spring 2014 semester!

Here is the update for today:

EARTH SCIENCE 2 & REGENT CHEMISTRY 2:
• All of you should have filled out Student Info. & Learning Style Survey and submitted in class.  If you missed the class today, be sure to ask for a copy to complete.

• HW #1 (Due Tomorrow):
a) You and your parent should read the course syllabus, sign it, and submit the completed syllabus by tomorrow.  Do not tear off the bottom, an electronic copy would be made available on the JupiterGrade.com.
b) Send an e-mail to me at "drliu.iths@gmail.com".  On the heading of the e-mail put down your complete name and period #, in the body of the e-mail include your parent's e-mail address.  This is to facilitate a regular update of your progress in the class.
