Update for 4-30-2010

Here is the update for this weekend:

Regent Chemistry 2:
• HW #29 Worksheet is due on Monday.
• HW #30 (Due Monday): Holt - Read pp. 658-666, Do p. 647 Problems # 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
• Lab Report #25 is due on Monday.
• Unit Exam on Nuclear Chemistry likely will be next Tuesday.

Living Environment 2:
• Lab. Report #25 - Protein Synthesis Lab - due Monday.
• HW #16 past due already (a lot of you did not hand in the HW).
• Unit Exam will be next Tuesday.

Living Environment 2:
• HW #16 (Due Tomorrow): Glencoe - Read pp. 342-349, Do p. 349 #1, 2, 5.


* FOR ALL CLASSES: All of you should finish your labs (missed during the second marking period) before the end of this week. As I have mentioned in class, this is your wild card to get that one final shot in the playoffs... Don't waste this chance! (Warning letters are being sent as we speak...)

• Lab #25 starts tomorrow 1st period in Rm. 311.
• Progress Report will get sent out tonight.

Living Environment 2:
• Finish Classwork #3 as HW for submission tomorrow (4 Questions).
1) How did Nirenberg crack the code contained in the RNA?
2) What is the structure of a tRNA looks like?
3) What is translation? How is translation different from transcription?
4) Which term is used to describe a protein made of long chain of amino acids? Where is this molecule made within the cell?
