Assignment update for Spring Break 2008

Geezzz... You guys have no idea how much I'm looking forward to the beginning of Spring Break! Well, may be you have some idea...

Alright, let's see..

Regent Chemistry 2:
• Well, the demo didn't quite go as well as planned, we'll figure out what went wrong, one of these day...
• Check back later this weekend for a review sheet. Read the remaining sections of the chapter to get some background.
• Lab. #25 report due on Monday when we come back.
• Unit exam - probably the Wednesday after we come back from the break.
• For those of you who're still cuddling to your precious incomplete lab. reports, I have a word for you: Finish them up and turn them IN!

Earth Science 2:
• If you didn't finish the plot and answering the questions for Lab. #25, do so and turn it in the first day we come back.
• Take-home Quiz due on the day we come back.
• Take-home lab. #26 on the day we come back; it actually should be quite fun!
• Same words of advice: For those of you who're still cuddling to your precious incomplete lab. reports, finish them up and turn them IN!

That's all, folks, have a fun and safe Spring Break!

Update for 4/17/08

To my students,

here is the update for today:

Regent Chemistry 2:
• HW #28 (Due tomorrow): Holt - Read pp. 626-631; Do p. 631 Problems #1, 2, 3, 9
• Unit Exam the week after spring break.

Earth Science 2:
• Here is today's lab data for plotting the graphs for your lab. #25 write-up (for all periods). Remember, Vertical axis is the dissolution time, Horizontal axis includes 3 different points: Tablet, 4-pieces, and Powders for today's experiment. For each group, plot the 3 points and draw a line through them. Use 1 color for room temp (18 oC - 24 oC), and a different color for higher temperature range (30 oC - 40 oC). If there is too much temperature difference (> 1 or 2 oC) within a group's data, I would suggest you drop that set of data (it would be difficult to interpret).
• Lab. #25 write-up is due tomorrow. Make sure you answer all the questions and do the plot.
