Update for 6/27/2008

To my students,

So here we are finally, the beginning of the summer vacation!

We have finished the grading for the Regent Exam, some did good, some didn't, and a few with low fly-bys. For those who are interested, here are a few options:

1. If you have satisfied the lab. requirement and took the June 2008 Regent exam (or missed that exam for any reason), you can register for the August 2008 Regent exam. Please contact school's main office for further details. This would also apply to those who wish to retake the exam.

2. If you did not satisfy the lab. requirement for Regent but has at least 15 labs, you can find out if the school offered summer school in the subject that you're interested. If the school offer the class, then you can register for the summer school, satisfy the labs, and take the Aug. Regent exam. If not, you will need to retake the class next term.

3. If you did not have at least 15 labs.... See you in the Fall, same class, again!

Alright, guys, this is it...

Regent Chemistry 2: Regent Exam tomorrow at 12:15 PM. Don't be late.
• Look over the notes and old tests, make sure you do at least 1 regent practice exam under simulated test condition.
• Have a good night sleep, bring pen, pencil, and scientific calculator.

Earth Science 2: Regent Exam on Friday at 12:15 PM. Study.....HARD!

To my students,

Regent Chemistry 2:
• Hmmm... I've noticed that most of you guys were basically goofing off in class... I even found that some of my practice drill sheets were just thrown on the floor. Guess even one of my better class misbehaved when I'm not around, huh?
• I've checked Chemistry Regent Exam schedule, it's 12:15 PM on Tuesday, so don't be late, and bring a pen, pencil, and a scientific calculator, okay?!

Earth Science 2:
• I guessed you guys had a good time for the past 3 days, right? Guess what?! I'm putting in the grade this weekend, and who ever actually did the Regent exam practice will get some extra credit for the class work! Don't forget, Earth Science Regent Exam this coming Friday 6/20/08.

Update for 6/11/08

Here are the updates:

Regent Chemistry 2:
• Most likely I won't be in the class for at least the next 2 days. Please have someone by my classroom door in the morning so that I can give you the Regent Drill exercise sheet for that day. I will try to post the answers sometimes this weekend.

Earth Science 2:
• For all those who qualified for Regent exam:
- PD. 3, you should have received an invitation to go to Rm. 311 during the beginning of PD. 3.
- PD. 4, some of you will go tomorrow during 2nd period, some will go during 3rd period (depend on your invitation).
- PD. 8, some of you will go during 2nd period, 3rd period, or Friday 5th period (depend on your invitation).
• For the rest of you, continue to practice on the Earth Science Regent exam. This will help to refresh your memory.

• All Extra/Make-up lab reports due by Friday for Regent eligibility determination.

Update for 6/3/2008

Here are the updates for today:

Regent Chemistry 2:
• HW #38 (Due Tomorrow): Holt - Read pp. 658-666, Do p. 666 Problems # 6, 7, 8, 10
• All late/extra HWs and labs. due by tomorrow. (Except the extra labs performed on Wednesday will be due by Friday of this week).
• Unit Exam on Nuclear Chemistry will be held on Monday (next week).

Earth Science 2:
• Try to finish as many questions on Lab. #32 started in class today. We will use only part of the period tomorrow to complete any part that needs to be completed. The whole write-up is due by the end of the period.
• All late/missing HWs and labs. are due by tomorrow.
• Unit Exam to be held this Friday. Study Hard!!

• Finish HW #37 Worksheet for tomorrow.
• Make sure you complete and submit all late labs. by Wednesday (including the extra labs for Monday and Tuesday of this week). The one you complete on Wednesday will be due this Friday.
• Unit exam on Friday.

Earth Science 2:
• Complete all labs (including afterschool extra labs) by this Wednesday.
• There will be an in-class lab. tomorrow.
• On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be afterschool labs. For those who need the labs, make sure you attend. This is your last chance!
• Unit exam this Friday.
