CastleLearning Online Christmas Exam has been posted.  You must complete it in one session, which lasted 3 hours.  You may allow to use your class notes and previous exams.  Due Date:  1/5/2015 - Monday (when we go back to school).

Here is the update for this Christmas break:

Earth Science 1:

•  If you missed Quiz #4 this week, be sure to come to see me for a make-up when we come back.  I will try to hold off on the distribution of the graded Quiz result until after Monday (1-05-2015).
•  Christmas Break Assignment:  A cumulative online exam consists of 50 questions on CastleLearning.Com.  This exam must be completed in ONE session and you will have 3 hours to work on it.  The online exam will be posted by 12/26/2014.  Due Date:  Monday Jan. 5, 2015.
 
Regent Chemistry 1:

1. Why is it that we have not yet find a treatment for Ebola for human (as implied by the article)?

2. How would a vaccine against Ebola works if it is to be effective?

3. Do you think the two drugs, Zmapp and TKM-Ebola, that were used in treating individual cases would be effective in general?  Explain your reasoning.

4. Describe how convalescent serum would work against Ebola.

5. Do you think we should speed up the trials for experimental Ebola vaccine or treatment?  What might be the negative consequence if things go wrong?
