Update for 10/13/2009

Here is the update for today:

Regent Chemistry 1:
• Well, the 1st Unit Exam wasn't so bad, right?!
• If you did not submit either HW #10 or Lab. Report #4 today, make sure you complete them and turn them in immediately. End of 1st Marking Period is this Friday.
• Since most of you will be taking PSAT tomorrow, be sure to arrive at school by 7: 45 AM to get your room assignment.

Regent Chemistry 2:
• In addition to the exam corrections you did today in-class, so far I've received very few Lab. Report #19 submission. Remember, if you don't turn them in immediately, it will not graded in time for your 1st Marking Period grade (which ends this Friday).

Environmental Science 2:
• If you were busy doing make-up exam today, we have completed Classwork #1 assignment in-class today. I am enclosing the questions below, you may complete them by perform a little internet research and submit your work.

• Classwork #1: Solid Waste Disposal (I) (Name, Period, Date, Assignment Title)
1. Where do most of New York City’s solid wastes go? Specifically what kind of waste disposal facility?
2. What are the environmental impacts created by dumping of NYC’s solid wastes?
3. What kind of materials are collected through curbside recycling programs?
4. What is a “superfund site”?
