Earth Science 1:
• Complete Lab. sheets #4 as homework. Due: Tomorrow.• Reminder: Deadline for all make-up assignment is Tomorrow.
Regent Chemistry 1:
• Lab. #4 will be held in Rm. 311 tomorrow.
• Explanation of Visible Line Spectrum: When electron absorbs the right amount of energy (e.g. heat, light, or electricity), it will temporarily move to a higher energy (excited, unstable) state. Since it's unstable, it will soon return to the lower energy (more stable) ground state and released the energy that was absorbed. The energies released are called photons, with different wavelengths (energy) that show up as different spectral lines in the visible line spectrum.
